He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

Discharged at Detroit, Mich., Oct. 12, 1863, for total disability on account of wounds received in action.

After the War

Born and raised in Pontiac, he spent most of his life there and in Detroit. He was a member of the GAR Post in Clio, MI.
