Exchanged at Aiken's Landing, Virginia November 10, 1862. Transferred to Company C, 3rd Battalion Georgia Sharpshooters June 8, 1863. Captured at High Bridge, Virginia April 6, 1865. Released at Point Lookout, Maryland June 29, 1865.
After the War
In 1880 he was a farmer in Harbins, Gwinnett County living with his wife, 3 sons, and his mother Annie.
