Roll dated January 30, 1865, last on file, shows him on duty as Sergeant and Enrolling Officer in Georgia. No later record.
After the War
He was a tax collector, local politician, and railroad construction supervisor. By 1888 he owned a hotel in Madison, GA. His son Oliver Norvell Hardy (1892-1957) was the famous comedian, known best for his films with Stan Laurel (1890-1965).
