He was promoted to Corporal on 1 November 1862 and Sergeant 1 October 1863. Deserted to the enemy on 8 March 1865 and was imprisoned in Washington, DC on the 10th. Released on Oath, date unknown.

After the War

Possibly died in Clover, SC.
