He was captured at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

Exchanged at Aiken's Landing, VA 10 November 1862. Resigned his commission on 20 February 1863.

After the War

He travelled (fled?) to Texas in 1865 and died there in 1866.
