Captured at Chancellorsville,VA 3 May 1863. Exchanged at City Point,VA 23 May. Roll for 30 April 1864, last on file, shows him present. Pension records show he was twelve miles from Greensboro, NC April 26, 1865 at the surrender. Paroled at Cowpens, SC in 1865.
