On the Campaign

He was reported missing on 16 September 1862 but had been captured having been "left in charge of wounded on Maryland Heights, Md" and may have been wounded himself.

The rest of the War

He was listed among wounded Confederates paroled at Sandy Hook, MD on 22 September 1862. The Company muster roll for August 1863, the last one in his file, still has him as "missing since Sept 16, 1862."
