He enlisted in Company G, Third Infantry on 14 April 1861 in the Laurens District.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
In hospital through October and back with his unit in December 1862. In hospital late in 1863 and captured in action 24 May 1864; not on roll at Surrender.
