Before Sharpsburg
He enlisted in Company I, Third Infantry on 14 April 1861 at Clinton, SC.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on Maryland Heights near Harpers Ferry on 13 September 1862.
The rest of the War
Returned to duty in February 1863. Wounded again at Gettysburg, PA on 2 July 1863 and at mortally at Strasburg, VA on 13 October 1864. He died on 20 October 1864.
