He was very ill at Harper Ferry and was discharged for disability on 19 November 1862. He reenlisted on 7 February 1865 in Company H, 158th Ohio Infantry and served until discharged at Nashville, TN on 19 September 1865.

After the War

He was a farmer and lived in Warren, OH.
