On the Campaign

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg, and disabled.

The rest of the War

He was captured at Shepherdstown, VA on Nov. 25th, 1862. Sent to Fortress Monroe, VA on Jan. 3rd, 1863, and paroled at Ft. McHenry, MD and received at City Point, VA on Feb. 2nd, 1863.
