On the Campaign
He was wounded and captured in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was paroled near Sharpsburg on 26 September and in hospital into February 1863, and on furlough from wounds through most of 1863, but also listed on recruiting duty in Louisiana from February 1863.
