Present in following engagements: Rappahannock Station, Aug. 23rd, 1862; Manassas, Va., Aug. 29th; Sharpsburg, Md., Sept. 15th, 16th, 17, 1862; Fredericksburg, Md., Dec. 13th, 1862; Fredericksburg or Chancellorsville, May 3rd, 1863. He was killed in action at Gettysburg on 3 July 1863.
