He enlisted in Company A, 14th Louisiana Infantry on July 27th, 1861 in New Orleans.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was absent wounded on furlough and sick in Richmond, VA to at least February 1863. By April 1863 he was declared a deserter, having not returned from furlough. No further military record.
