He was furloughed from Chiborazo Hospital in Richmond on 10 October 1862. Reported "absent without leave" from January 1863, and "Absent, sick" on roll for April 30 to August 31, 1864, dated December 4, 1864. Pension records show he was at home, wounded, close of war.
