Wounded slightly at Fredericksburg, VA in December 1862. Wounded again at Gettysburg, PA, July 1, 1863. Wounded in hip and captured at Spotsylvania, VA, May 12, 1864. Moved from Point Lookout, MD to Elmira, NY on 30 July 1864. Released at Elmira on taking the Oath in July 1865.
