Before Antietam
From Laconia, he enlisted at age 27 in Company B, 5th New Hampshire Infantry on 12 October 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded severely in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.
The rest of the War
He was released from the Chester (PA) General Hospital and sent back to his regiment on 17 December 1862, but there is no further (military) record.
After the War
He was living in Northfield, VT in 1883, and was probably there at the 1910 US Census.
