Listed from Littleton, he enlisted in Company K, 5th New Hampshire Infantry on 16 September 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.
The rest of the War
He was discharged for wounds at Baltimore, MD on 4 January 1863. He returned home to Newmarket, NH and died there of his wounds on Christmas Day 1863.
