He transferred to Company A, 9th Regiment, Veteran Volunteer Corps (VRC) on 18 April 1864. He was discharged on 16 November 1865 in Washington, DC.

After the War

He was divorced from his wife Eliza A Burbank in Cumberland County, ME in January 1866.
