Before Antietam
From Littleton, he enlisted at age 45 in Company C, 5th New Hampshire Infantry on 26 September 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.
The rest of the War
He reenlisted 1 January 1864. He was wounded again, in action near Petersburg, VA on 17 June 1864, and discharged for disability on 5 May 1865 a Manchester.
After the War
He was living in Littleton, NH in 1893.
