On the Campaign
He was wounded and captured in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was confined at Fort McHenry, Maryland and exchanged at Aiken's Landing, Virginia, November 10, 1862. He was appointed Musician in 1863, and paroled at Appomattox, Virginia, April 12, 1865.
