On the Campaign

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.

The rest of the War

He was absent on furlough to Arkansas from January 19, 1863, and listed as absent without leave in Arkansas on August 1, 1863. He was dropped from the rolls on February 29, 1864.
