Before Sharpsburg
He enlisted in Company A, 2nd Arkansas Infantry Battalion at Hot Springs, Arkansas on September 17, 1861. He transferred to Company F, 3rd Arkansas Infantry on July 18, 1862.
On the Campaign
He was wounded and captured in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was confined at Fort McHenry, Maryland until exchanged (date not givien). He was killed in action at Suffolk, Virginia on June 2, 1863.
