He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was promoted Captain and furloughed for ninety days to recruit and arrest deserters in Arkansas in February 1864. He was listed as absent without leave in Arkansas in June 1864 and dropped from the rolls on July 27, 1864.
