He enlisted in Company G, 3rd Arkansas Infantry at Three Creeks, Arkansas on June 19, 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.
The rest of the War
He was furloughed to recover from wounds in January 1863 but dropped from the rolls for being absent without leave in August 31, 1864. He later returned to the regiment and was paroled at Appomattox, Virginia in June (?) 1865.
