On the Campaign

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Sharpsburg.

The rest of the War

He was captured at Rappahannock, VA on November 7, 1863. He was forwarded to Point Lookout, MD from Washington, DC on November 11 and paroled until exchanged at Point Lookout on March 10, 1864. He was received at City Point, VA on March 16, 1864. The Roll to August 31, 1864 lists him as absent without leave in Louisiana.
