Before Antietam

He enlisted at Pawtucket on 14 September 1861 in Company I, 4th Rhode Island Infantry.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.

The rest of the War

He was in hospital in Washington, DC to January 1863. He was wounded again, at Petersburg, VA on 30 July 1864. He mustered out with his Company on 15 October 1864.

After the War

In 1898 he received $97.99 including interest from the State of Rhode Island due to a claim dating to 1863.
