He enlisted in Tiverton on 24 August 1861 in Company D, 4th Rhode Island Infantry.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.
The rest of the War
He was discharged on a surgeon's certificate on 23 April 1862 for wounds received at Antietam.
After the War
He was in Fall River, MA at the 1880 US Census, but in Providence, Ward 4, in 1910.
