Before Sharpsburg
He enlisted in Company , 2nd Louisiana Infantry on May 9, 1861 at Camp Walker, LA. He was absent, sick in Williamsburg, VA in September and October 1861. He was detached on guard duty at Wynne's Mills, VA in January and February 1862.
On the Campaign
He was originally reported missing in action on 17 September, later as having been killed on the 18th.
