On the Campaign

He captured two Confederate soldiers in action at Crampton's Gap on 14 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was promoted to Corporal on 9 April 1863 and was Color Sergeant of the Regiment by Cold Harbor on 7 June 1864. He mustered out on 23 June 1864.
