Acting Adjutant on the Maryland Campaign.

The rest of the War

Appointed Adjutant on 1 November 1862. Promoted to Captain, Company G in 15 January 1863. Probably wounded at Frederickburg, VA on 13 December. Wounded in action at the Wilderness, VA on 6 May 1864 and absent in hospital in Washington, DC. Mustered out 13 July 1864.
