He was captured in action on 9 September 1862 near Poolesville, MD.
The rest of the War
He was exchanged 10 November 1862. He was absent sick in March and June 1863 and most of 1864. He was paroled at Alexandria, VA on 27 April 1865, having left the Regiment on 22 March that year.
