On the Campaign

He was in action on South Mountain and at Antietam.

The rest of the War

He was promoted to Sergeant on 1 November 1862, and First Sergeant on 1 August 1864, and was at Petersburg. He was in Hospital 15 August 1864 - 8 February 1865. He was discharged at the expiration of his term of service on 9 June 1865.
