Before Antietam
A 44 year old resident of Newburyport, MA, he enrolled at Corporal, Company B, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and mustered in August 1862.
On the Campaign
He was in action on South Mountain and at Antietam.
The rest of the War
He was at Spottsylvania, Petersburg and other actions. He was discharged at the expiration of his term of service on 9 June 1865.
