Amos B. Chase

Basic information from Carruth1. A 36 year old resident of Newburyport, MA, he enrolled at Private, Company B, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and mustered in August 1862. He was in action on South Mountain at Antietam. On the Mississippi and Kentucky Campaigns. Promoted to Corporal in 1864 and discharged on expiration of enlistment on 9 June 1865. He died 4 November 1874 and was buried in Newburyport.
