Basic information from Carruth1. A 22 year old resident of Newburyport, MA, he enrolled at Private, Company B, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and mustered in August 1862. He was in action on South Mountain and at Antietam. Died at Camp Nelson, KY on 11 December 1863, and was buried in Newburyport.
