Basic information from Carruth1. A 28 year old resident of Newburyport, MA, he enrolled at Private, Company B, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and mustered in August 1862. He was in action on South Mountain and Antietam, where he was wounded in the leg. He was discharged for disability from wounds on 10 January 1863. He was living in Newburyport in 1884.
