Basic information from Carruth1. A 41 year old resident of Newburyport, MA, he enrolled at Private, Company B, 35th Massachusetts Infantry, and mustered in August 1862. He was in action on South Mountain and at Antietam. He was sent to the hospital (date not given) and was discharged for disability on 13 January 1863. He was living in Stoneham, MA in 1884.
