Before Antietam

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.

He was again wounded, in action at Dallas, GA (date not given). He was appointed Sergeant about June 1864 as the unit reenlisted, and Regimental Sergeant-Major on 29 October 1864.
