Before Antietam

From Menasha, he enlisted in Company G, 3rd Wisconsin Infantry on 30 April 1861.

On the Campaign

He was wounded in action on 17 September 1862 at Antietam.

The rest of the War

He was again wounded, in action at Dallas, GA (date not given). He mustered out 5 June 1865.

After the War

By 1883 he was receiving a pension of $4 per month for "injury to abdomen", then living in Menasha. He was living in Neenah at the 1895 Wisconsin Veterans Census. He was a Foreman at EF Weickert (probably a planing mill) in the 1905 Neenah City Directory.
