A 26 year old student from Montgomery County, he enlisted on 23 September 1861 in Company H, 96th Pennsylvania Infantry. He had blue eyes, fair complexion and light hair, and stood 5' 7" tall.
On the Campaign
He was killed in action at Crampton’s Gap on 14 September 1862.
