The rest of the War

Transferred 1 June 1863 to the 44th Alabama Infantry. He was in Companies A and D, and promoted First Sergeant, date not given. He was in action at Gettysburg, PA on 2 July 1863, and was killed in action at Chickamauga, GA on 19 September 1863.
