On the Campaign
He was wounded in the arm in action at Antietam on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was treated at Hospital #3 (probably Boonsboro, MD) and in Frederick, MD. He had his arm amputated at the forearm. He mustered out with his Company on 17 June 1864.
