On the Campaign

He was wounded in the ankle in action at Antietam on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was captured in action at Gettysburg, PA on 2 July 1863. He was released on 1 March 1865 at Wilmington, NC. He mustered out with his Company on 27 March 1865.
