He enlisted in New York City to serve three years, and mustered in as Private, Company H, 69th New York Infantry on 10 October 1861.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action at Antietam on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He transferred to Company A on 12 June 1863, and there is no record after 31 December 1863, when he was reported absent, wounded.
