Before Sharpsburg

A 33 year old druggist from Richmond, he enlisted as Private in Crenshaw's Battery in Richmond on 14 March 1862.

On the Campaign

He was slightly wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was absent sick in December 1862, and absent with leave as of 15 February 1864, with no further military record.

After the War

He was in the apothecary business in Richmond until his marriage in 1868, when he moved to his wife's family home in Buckingham County. He died relatively young at age 47.
