An 18 year old laborer in Bayou Goula, LA, he enlisted as Private, Company K, 8th Louisiana Infantry on 18 May 1862 at Donaldsonville.
On the Campaign
He was wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He was mortally wounded in action at Chancellorsville, VA on 5 May 1863 and died in Fredericksburg the next day.
