He enlisted at Seguin, TX as a Private in Company D, 4th Texas Infantry on 25 April 1862.

On the Campaign

He was in action with his Company at Fox's Gap on South Mountain on 14 September and was wounded in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was in hospitals in Richmond and on furlough, but back with his Company by January 1863. He was listed as a deserter on 20 February 1864 with no later military information.
