Before Sharpsburg
A student in Homer, LA, he enrolled in the Minden Blues, a Company from Adkins Landing, LA. He enlisted 23 June 1861 at Camp Moore, LA in Company G, 8th Louisiana Infantry. He was captured in action at Port Republic, VA on 9 June 1862 but was back on duty by the end of the month.
On the Campaign
He was mortally wounded and captured in action at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.
The rest of the War
He died, date not given, at a hospital near the battlefield.
