Before Sharpsburg

A 29 year old farmer in New Orleans, he was appointed 2nd Lieutenant, Company F, 10th Louisiana Infantry in June 1862. He was promoted to First Lieutenant on 30 AUgust 1862.

On the Campaign

He was senior man present in his Company and commanded it at Sharpsburg on 17 September 1862.

The rest of the War

He was admitted to the hospital in Culpeper, VA on 30 September. He was mortally wounded in action at Chancellorsville, VA on 1 May 1863 and died of wounds on 29 May 1863.
